Jaquet Droz have created the Charming Bird Automaton watch. This innovative timepiece, which marks this watch company’s foray into creating three-dimensional automata watches, is the first one to incorporate a bird that moves and sings, thanks to a piston-driven bellows. Hours and minutes are displayed by a Frédérique Piguet calibre. The featured bird, a blue tit that opens and closes its beak, turns, chirps, and flaps its wings, is a common sight in the mountains of Neuchâtel, is hand-painted, and made from hardened brass.
