Clive Christian has released a limited edition of his 1872 fragrance for men. The Limited Edition 1872 For Men comes in an exclusive bottle with a Roman Eagle pictured on the front. The Roman Eagle was chosen due to Clary Sage being the principal note and the Clary Sage’s history as a sacred herb which Emperor Nero had scattered before his troops as they rode into battle bearing the Roman Eagle standard. The 1872 notation comes from the year the Crown Perfumery (now named Clive Christian Perfumes) was given Queen Victoria’s seal of approval. Only one thousand bottles of the limited edition bottles will be made.
