The Maison Bonnet which is located in the Jardins du Palais Royal in Paris is world renowned for their tortoise shell glasses. Since the 1930’s Maison Bonnet have been making custom made glasses made from tortoise shells and most notably worn by Yves Saint Laurent. Each pair of Maison Bonnet glasses are made using one tortoise shell to maintain the same color through all components of the glasses. The glasses can either be fitted with optometric lenses or lenses for protection agains the sun, Maison Bonnet can also custom build glasses tailored specifically for ones face.
