The Mardan Palace in Antalya, Turkey opened last month and has already been named the most luxurious resort on the Mediterranean sea. The resort is styled after the Dolmabahçe Palace in Istanbul and features five hundred and sixty rooms and suites. The Mardan Palace also features a bridge modeled on the bridge proposed in 1502 by Leonardo da Vinci for Sultan Bayezid II of the Ottoman Empire crossing its vast five acre pool. The resort features eleven restaurants, an eighteen hole golf course and two aquariums.
