To celebrate the 125th anniversary of the birth of Coco Chanel this year Chanel’s chief designer Karl Lagerfeld has had a special five euro coin minted. The coin features a profile of Coco Chanel on the front and Chanel’s signature quilted leather pattern on the back. The coins are signed by Karl Lagerfeld and available in gold and silver versions with only ninety nine gold ones being made available. The coins were minted for Chanel by the French Mint and will be available exclusively in Chanel stores.
