Swiss watchmaker F.P. Journe has launched its first collection of pens which are made using the same precision applied in the making of their watches. There are two models, a rollerball and a fountain pen each is made of platinum with red gold accents. The fountain pen features a unique mechanism for storing the nib voiding the need for a cover, it features six red gold flaps which open like petals to reveal the nib and close to hid it. The barrels of the pens are guilloché (knurled) by hand and only five hundred of each model will be available.
