Maserati are now shipping the automatic version of the Quattroporte. Maserati released the Quattroporte Automatica at the Detroit Motor Show last week although it was announced a few months ago. The Quattroporte Automatica features a six speed automatic transmission system which uses a different weight distribution (49% in the front and 51% in the rear) in order to maintain the Quattroporte’s extremely sporty charateristics. The Maserati Quattroporte is seen as a direct competitor to the Mercedes CLS as well as the upcoming Aston Martin Rapide and Porsche Panamera.
