Mercedes is bringing out a Hybrd version of its S-Class luxury sedan in order to directly compete with Lexus’s LS600h L. Though it will not be as environmentaly friendly as the LS600h L it will still consume a lot less gas than the current S-Class’s. The Direct Hybrid and Bluetec Hybrid concepts featured at the 2005 Frankfurt Motor Show by Mercedes were mild hybrids, which means that the electric motors only assist the engine.
