LG is trying to do what Sony failed in. LG is said to be slowly releasing a line of high end consumer electronics like Sony’s failed Qualia line. LG have released a 70 inch solid gold plasma display as well as some high end mobile phones known as the Chocolate phones which feature gold trimming(pictured). LG is at the moment in the process of rebranding it self to become a notable consumer electronics manufacturer like Sony. The line is expected to be completed by the end of the year.
