The innovative and functional Dunhill Sentryman Explorer Pen was inspired by the needs of South Pole explorers. The pen integrates an artificial flint into the barrel which creates a spark when struck against the magnesium cap button allowing one to light a fire. There is a luminous ring around the cap which enables the pen to be easily found in the dark. The pen can either be used as fountain pen or ballpoint with interchangeable ends and the ballpoint can write in sub zero temperatures due to a pressurised cartridge. The pen comes in an aluminum case lined with technogel so it is well protected.
