Italian pen manufacturer Montegrappa have created the Brain Pen. Developed in collaboration with Dr Richard Restak a neurology expert, this elegant writing implement is designed to capitalize on the connection between one’s physical and psychical selves. The intricately carved cap is based on an ancient physician’s illustration, and the clip has a spring-loaded mechanism. A seahorse, which represents the hippocampus, is engraved on the nib, and the tip is lacquered in deep black or scarlet.
