Bentley have launched the first car in their Continental range equipped with a V8 engine. The new Continentals will come in GT coupe and GTC convertible versions with a five hundred horsepower from a turbocharged four point zero liter, eight cylinder engine. It has a new eight speed automatic transmission and a special fuel efficiency system which allows for only four cylinders to be used when all eight are not needed. The V8 Continental will accelerate from zero to sixty miles per hour in less than five seconds with a top speed of more than one hundred eighty miles per hour. The Bentley Continental GT V8 will be differentiated through the use of red Bentley insignia instead of the usual black.
