The Glendfiddich Fifty Year Old whisky is the latest exclusive whisky released by the Dufftown based distiller to date, it has been eighteen years since they last released a fifty year old whisky. The Glenfiddich Fifty Year Old whisky has notes of soft fruits, oak tannin, herbs and minor notes of smoke and oak. Only five hundred bottles will be made and fifty bottles will be released each year over a ten year period. The Glenfiddich Fifty Year Old comes in a hand-blown glass bottle with a Scottish silver label and screw top and is presented in a hand stitched leather bound case accompanied by a book modeled on Glenfiddich founder William Grant’s personal journal and details the whisky’s distillation and aging process.
