Vertu have unveiled its new Signature named the S Design six years after the release of the original Signature replacing the original as the most complexly crafted mobile phone. The Signature S Design features several innovative features including a specially designed mechanism allowing one to remove the SIM card without the need for removing the battery cover, it is also one of the first phones to feature an OLED (Organic Light Emitting Diode) display. The highly complex patented keypad contains 4.75 carats of solid ruby bearings each cut and set in its exact place like a jewel making every keystroke a perfect movement. All the ringtones featured on the Signature are composed exclusively for Vertu by the Academy Award winning composer Dario Marianelli and the music was performed by the London Symphony Orchestra with all solo flute pieces played by the worlds leading flautist Andrea Griminelli. The new Signature was designed by Frank Nuovo the principal Vertu designer responsible for the design of the all of the Vertu phones and engineered by Hutch Hutchison. The Vertu Signature will be available in white gold, yellow gold and stainless steel.
