The recently opened Banyan Tree Lijiang Resort is designed to blend in with the old town of Lijiang (A UNESCO World Heritage Site) in China. The resort is designed in the traditional Nax architecture of the Yunnan province where Lijiang is located. The resort has fifty rooms and two restaurants as well as a spa and tennis courts. Lijiang can be reached via Shanghai and the hotel is a forty minute drive from the airport.
