The Great Antique Yquem Collection has finally been sold after a long period of bidding involving over twenty six bidders. The collection includes every vintage of Château d’Yquem produced between 1860 and 2003. This of course does not include the nine non existent vintages (1910, 1915, 1930, 1951, 1952, 1964, 1972, 1974 and 1992) in their place are nine empty bottles which are signed by the Director of Château d’Yquem Pierre Lurton. The whole collection is stored in two cabinets made by the royal furniture maker David Linley. The collection was sold to an unnamed European collector.
