In order to celebrate its 100th anniversary (Yes another 100th anniversary watch), jeweller Van Cleef & Arpels has created the Lady Arpels Centenaire. The large case (which measures 36mm) was designed by Pierre Arpels in 1949. Its central decoration is also inspired by the same 1949 model. It is crafted out of 18kt white gold. The watch face represents the four seasons and is composed of two seperate sections. The first is a natural white mother-of-pearl disk which rotates around the dial every three months, with a second part, which is hand-painted enamel, that shows a garden which represents the four seasons.
