Sony has axed its Qualia brand. The Qualia brand was Sony’s luxury brand, its highlight was a crystal clear HD projector. Sony has opened one dedicated Qualia which is Las Vegas, Nevada which was relatively unsuccessful. This was done at the same time as Sony’s recent discontinuation of its Aibo and QRIO robots. Although Qualia was supposed to be cutting edge technology its flagship digital camera is a tiny two mega-pixel camera with loads of add on’s such as lenses and view finders which has been on the market for the past three years.
