Guerlain have created a limited edition perfume named Nuit d’Amour as a tribute to the Austrian painter Gustav Klimt. Guerlain’s perfumes are often inspired by the arts, Mitsouko is a homage to the opera Turandot, Vol de Nuit honors the writer Saint-Exupéry, and Chamade was inspired by the writer Françoise Sagan. Nuit d’Amour is a floral, powdery, woody fragrance, its top notes mingling the freshness of litchi with the gentle tingle of pink peppercorns. A hint of aldehydes, wedded with a bouquet of feminine, graceful Provence rose and subtle, powdery iris, with sandalwood prolongs the base note with its warm, sensuous tones. Nuit d’Amour comes in a crystal bottle made by Baccarat. Only eighty bottles will be made making it a very limited edition.
